Healthtap SEO案例分析

Healthtap是一家美国的大型在线医疗网站，融资B轮，上一轮融资金额5000万美金，目前公司有100多位技术，多毕业于哈弗，斯坦福等名校。

按理说，精英汇集，SEO应该是小菜一碟，但是没想到，他们不但没搞起来，甚至前后请了6位美国当地的SEO顾问，都没有什么进展。

这勾起了我的好奇心和挑战欲，我决定要接手这个项目。

研究之后，我傻了。

为什么之前很多SEO大佬都搞不定？因为真的太复杂，主要是网站十年时间沉积了太多的问题，大量的错误。

再加上站内极其复杂，我做了一下爬取，显示3百多万个页面，又因为是科技公司，更偏好Data analytics这种高大上又费时间的事情，再加上很多技术SEO的问题……

总之，相当复杂，典型的剪不断，理还乱。

我们的合作

刚开始，他们项目负责人向CEO推进合作并不是很顺利。可能觉得一个中国人给他们做谷歌SEO顾问，有些难以置信，不相信能够解决他们网站的问题。

CEO邀请我进行了一次视频会议，问了我很多问题，之后就同意了。他说：“我之前的顾问，没有给我解释过为什么不能这样做，或者为什么要这样做，你的解释很有说服力。”

合作的过程中，有太多好玩的东西了，比如，有一次策略团队执行不力，太拖拉，我指出了他们这个问题，CEO以为我要走了，把Marketing Manager骂了一顿，然后给我写了一封邮件挽留我。再比如得知我要结婚，CEO想要代表公司，给我送一束鲜花，我以为要送美国送来……

我们做了什么

目前我们主要做了站内优化和Technical SEO.

爬取了几百万个页面，做分析，做调整。这些页面，最大的难点就是，如何处理几十万的重复页面、几十万的Orphan page和几十万的Long title。
做搜索意图分析，合适的页面，做优化，不适合的页面，果断删除，节约爬取预算。
关键词研究，光页面就有几百万，关键词数量就更庞大了。这是个及时痛苦又必须要做的事情，太考验人。
做竞争对手分析，内容分析，这一部分，就相对轻松了。
还有其他很多零散的小点。下面是搜索技术段优化的部分：

- Zero clicks pages: Delete or optimize the pages, Minimize the number of useless pages and improve search engine trust
- Server errors 5xx: 5xx errors mean that the server cannot respond to search engine or user requests. Also, these errors may indicate too much load on the server or backend broken logic. Pages with server errors are unavailable and cannot be indexed
